Kristen is one of the most beautiful models we've ever seen. She's
22 years old, a college senior and an aerobics instructor. She brings
along two friends for support. We start the haircut by driving the clippers
"almost" right down the middle (slightly offset from center so we can do
a mohawk.) To say that Kristen freaked out would be a mild understatement.
She laughed, she cried, she nearly hyperventilated.... you know, the usual
reaction!! |

Anyway, she composed herself after a while, and we continued the
haircut in relative peace.Her haircut is one of the most exciting events
we've ever filmed. |

This is Rebecca. She is a 21 year old actress who is about to play
two roles. First, she plays the role of Ylana's Barberrette. Next, she plays
the role of Bald Rebecca. Rebecca takes up the clippers and relishes
her role- clipping off Ylana's hair with ruthless enthusiasm. What
was Rebecca thinking- knowing the whole time she was cutting Ylana's hair
that she would be next in the chair!!

Rebecca gets several haircuts, including a Marine crewcut. In the
end, she's shaved smooth as silk and proves the addage "A woman who's beautiful
with long hair is just as beautiful without it."

One of the great pleasures of our "Paradise of Pelona" shoot was
working with April. She worked hard all day giving haircuts, and was "The
Life of the Haircut Party," so to speak.
Here she is giving Kisai a "Gone in 60 Seconds" haircut with ruthless
enthusiasm. At one point, Kisai gave April a dirty look, thinking she was
being a little "too enthusiastic" in her work.

At the end of the day, April asked me, "Do we have time for one
more haircut?" "Who?" I asked. "Me!" she said. Well sir, you could have knocked
me over with a feather, as I (of course) thought she meant she wanted a "Pelona"
haircut. What she wanted was a short haircut. She jumped into the chair,
told Rodrigo how she wanted it cut and in minutes her long hair was lying
on the floor.

She liked it at chin length, but wanted it cut "RADICAL" short,
so we took the clippers and clipped her bangs halfway up her forehead, then
clipped her hair to about two inches on top, and less than an inch on the
sides and back- RADICAL short indeed for a gal who HAD thirty six inches
of hair!! If you like SUPER LONG to SUPER SHORT makeovers, you're gonna LOVE
this video!!
