Let's face it- shaving your head is a BIG DECISION no matter if
you're a guy or a girl, and in Lisa's case it's a PARTICULARLY BIG DECISION
BECAUSE SHE'S NEVER HAD SHORT HAIR. YIKES!!
Lisa is 22 years old and recently graduated from college. She's working
in the theatre, designing and building sets, and says she's "due" for a haircut.
Her hair is long and thick, with no bangs or layers, and it's all gonna come
off!! |

It's taken 4 months to get Lisa in the chair, and Lisa FINALLY shaved
her head today. Back in October, Lisa scheduled her haircut, but chickened
out at the last minute. Since October, she says, she has kept thinking about
shaving her head "every day." She called for an appointment, and I told her-
same as last time- that if she changed her mind, I would certainly understand.
"No," she said, "This time I'm definitely going through with it." |

When the moment of truth arrived, there was no chickening out as
Lisa's hair was "Gone in 60 Seconds."

What a week it's been.
MONDAY we broadcast TWO LIVE HEADSHAVES of sisters Courtney and Abby
both having their heads shaved!!
TUESDAY we had Lisa and Jennifer, both 22 years old, go from long and

Jennifer is also 22 years old and a recent college graduate. Her
beautiful long hair has had "a good run," but it's time for a change.
Jennifer has never had a short haircut, let alone a smooth n' sexy
headshave!! When she told her boyfriend she might shave her head, he said
it was a great idea, and encouraged her to go through with it. |

Yesterday Jennifer decided to shave her head. She made the appointment,
showed up and did it- a modern day miracle. We did Jennifer's haircut in
stages, first giving her a short haircut with scissors. Then we gave her
a "half buzz," with the left side and back buzzed. Then we gave her a buzz-cut-
very soft! Then we ran the clippers down the middle with the OOO blade on
the Rapid Fire clippers, taking off the rest of Jennifer's hair. We then
gave Jennifer a OOOOO clipper shave with the silver Silhouette clippers.
A nice hot towel and a nice smooth shave with the Mach III razor, and Jennifer
was left with a smooth and silky scalp- radiant with BALD BEAUTY!!

Christine is 21 years old, and a college freshman, not like most of her 18

is her dedication to serving our country! |

Upon graduation from high school, Christine enlisted in the United
States Army, and served for three years. Despite a lot of hassles, Christine
never once cut her hair while she was in the Army, which we think is pretty
funny, considering that she has now decided to shave her head smoother than
G.I. Jane. |

Upon completion of her service in the Army, she began college last
Fall- thus, she's not your typical 18 year old college freshman. She's a
little older, a little wiser and definitely a lot braver than most of her
classmates. |

In all her 21 years, Christine has never had a short haircut. She
has always kept her natural blonde hair long and silky. She has decided to
shave her head, and wants to do the job herself!! She bravely takes up the
scissors and without hesitation, shnikks off her long blonde hair!! In the
next hour, she goes from long and silky to smooth and sexy shaved!! |

Without a doubt, this was one of the greatest haircuts we've ever
filmed. The beauty, grace and elegance of Christine, along with her enthusiasm,
made this an amazing and memorable event- getting to meet Christine was a
true privilege!!

She is a brave young woman who understands what it means to truly serve her
country, and who proves that a woman who is beautiful with long hair is just

We've been trying to get Jamie to shave her head for YEARS!! We have
offered this modern day Rapunzel a king's ransom if she would shave her head.
She has always resisted our pleadings, saying her husband would divorce her
if she shaved her head. She had grown her hair long for her husband, who
had a "thing" for long hair. |

And then, a miracle happened!! Jamie divorced her NOGOODNICK husband
and is now single, and the first order of business is "getting rid of all
this hair," and a bit of revenge as well. |

"I can't wait to show my EX my new haircut," she says moments before
her 42 inches of silky blonde hair fall to the floor. This modern-day Angel
will enjoy the sweet revenge of showing her EX how beautiful she can be without
a trace of hair.

Cherry is a 26 year old model with the thickest hair we've ever
seen!! She also has one of the brightest smiles and cheeriest dispositions
of all our models. She hasn't had a "real" haircut in seven years, but today
all that is about to change.
Cherry tells us the story of her last haircut- at the age of 19, in
her sophomore year of college. She and her sister were roomates, and Cherry
had waist length hair. |

One night they did a little drinking (OK, a LOT of drinking) and
decided to shave Cherry's head. By the time they got done, says Cherry, the
floor of the bathroom was covered with hair three inches thick.
She recalls waking up the next morning, feeling her newly shaved head
and wondering "What did I do!?!"

Tina is Cherry's sister. We're sure you all remember Cherry from
Video 187. Several years ago, Tina and Cherry went out to a party, and both
of them had a few drinks- actually more than a few drinks- they had A LOT
OF DRINKS!!

When they got back from the party, Tina suggested that Cherry needed
a haircut. Cherry agreed. Tina pulled out a pair of scissors and started
cutting Cherry's hair. Cherry's hair got shorter and shorter, and ended up
being shaved bald. Each of the girls claims the headshaving was the other
one's idea, and we'll probably never know because they were both pretty
drunk. |

Earlier this year, Cherry came to our studio and shaved her head.
Now, both Tina and Cherry have decided to shave their heads and become "the
bald sisters."
We come up with a skit idea called "Cherry's Revenge," in which Cherry
talks her sister into a "trim" which gets shorter and shorter and ends up
with a smoothly shaved Tina. What starts out as a playful skit turns into
real life revenge as Cherry mercilessly pays Tina back for the shearing she
received from Tina years ago.

exciting haircut to film, as during the haircut Michal described how she
got a similar haircut while in the Israeli Army. No question- Michal is ONE
OF US- a Hair Enthusiast through and through!! Halfway through the haircut,

MANDY GETS THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH

Amanda is a gorgeous 22 year old model who has worn her hair long for
the last 7 years. She's thought about cutting her hair from time to time
over the years, but always suppressed the idea. Over the past three months,
the thought kept coming back and just wouldn't go away. Amanda decided- "It's

We start by cutting her long hair to a lip length bob- very short
by any standards, and that's when Amanda surprised us.
Amanda says "cut more," so we go to a short, choppy haircut about 2
inches long all over. |

Amanda looked great in this short haircut, but surprises us again-
she wants it shorter. We suggest a flat top, and surprisingly, she
agrees!!

Our story begins with Amee, a 23 year old accountant who is about
to accomplish one of her ambitions in life- shaving her head.
She came to our studio with that goal in mind, and was determined to
enjoy every bit of the occasion.
I should also mention that her friend and co-worker, Carmen, came along
for MORAL SUPPORT ONLY. She made it clear that she wouldn't cut her hair,
and of course, that was just fine with us.

Once we finished with the "before" footage, we started Amee's haircut.
We start out by cutting Amee's red hair to a lip-length bob.
Amee smiles as her hair tumbles down in her lap.
Her enthusiasm is contagious, but at this point we don't know HOW CONTAGIOUS
it is.You can see that Amee's hair is just begging for this bob haircut-
notice how the line is already there- all we have to do is cut off the long
hair. |

"Don't worry about the razor," I explain.
She looks up at me with her piercing blue eyes and says, "I trust you
completely."
Just as we finished Amee's headshave, much to our surprise, Carmen steps
up and says, "Do me next."

Katie came to our studio intending to shave her head. In fact, we
had two models scheduled to shave their heads the same evening- Katie and
Rosemary.
After Katie arrived, she asked if it was okay if she chickened out.
"It's ok if you want to chicken out," we said, "We want you to be happy
with your decision, and if there's any doubt in your mind, then you shouldn't
do it."
She said she still wanted to cut her hair short, but was too nervous
about going "all the way" to shaved. |

We then did the "Before" footage with Rosemary, and Katie started looking
through the books of hairstyles. One picture- a short pixie- grabbed her
and wouldn't let go.
"THIS IS WHAT I WANT" she said.
We agreed that she would look great in a short pixie, and so it was
decided. |
 |
In the meantime, Rosemary was in the chair ready for her headshave,
and we asked Katie if she'd like to do the honors.
She reluctantly agreed, saying she'd never cut anyone's hair before.
We assured her a 4 year old could not mess up this haircut, and she did a
very nice job on Rosemary, and toward the end got pretty enthusiastic about
her work, making sure not to miss any of Rosemary's hair. After Rosemary's
haircut, Katie was pretty excited, and we asked if she wanted to do her own
hairut.
This time, without a bit of reluctance, she agreed. |

Now comes one of the most dramatic moments in the history of the
Hair Enthusiasts- Katie picks up a big piece of her hair, stares at it for
a moment, then lifts up the scissors, opens the jaws around her hair and
starts cutting it!! She smiles as the first big piece comes off. She wacks
off long piece after long piece- perhaps the most exciting self- cut we've
ever seen. Surprisingly, the haircut she gives herself is pretty good, especially
considering that she has no experience. |

Katie wants her hair just like the picture, and we use the clipper
over comb techinque to clip off Katie's hair, down to less than an inch on
the side and back and to just over an inch on top. Katie looks great in her
super short pixie, and we think you'll love this video!!

recognize Lovely Laura, a professional model from Chicago.

This DVD is one of my personal favorites. It took four months, and
a lot of phone calls, before Lorena and Montsee came to the studio for their
haircuts. The best things in life are those you have to work hard to get.
I think that's one of the reasons I love this DVD so much.
These two models are so gorgeous, and we had so much fun shaving their
heads, that this DVD finds its way back to my DVD player again and again-
I never get tired of it, and I don't think you will either.

When Mary arrived at our studio on Saturday night I knew at once
she was very special. She's tall and beautiful, enthusiastic and talkative-
really fun to be around.

Mary was VERY NERVOUS about shaving her head, and I assured her

the same day and would go on to shave dozens of police officers during the
Crop a Cop fundraiser.

Yes, Christina's got her eyes on me as she slides slowly into the

I've convinced her that we'll just give her the most conservative of
haircuts, just taking off a few inches.
She believes me, right?

I decide to let Christina get comfortable for a minute, and she
calms down.
Take a look in the mirror- you can see the beautiful waviness in Christina's
hair.

All this hapenned at the end of a long day for Christina. She had
done the makeup for 12 models and herself, and watched as Andrea's head was
shaved by Mary.
Who could have imagined that within a few months, Christina would shave
her head smooth as a cueball!!

Here's how it works: Rosemary grows out her hair for about six months,
and when it starts driving her crazy, she goes in the bathroom, takes the
clippers and shaves her head. |

Rosemary is definitely our kind of girl. She says "I feel powerful
and different when my head is shaved." She adds, "I get a lot of questions
and comments about it, but my friends think it's cool and I don't worry about
people who don't like it."
She also adds, "I enjoy freaking people out, and shaving my head is
a great way for me to say I'm different." |

You wouldn't think Rosemary would be nervous about having her head
shaved, but she is.
Why?
Because Katie is doing the haircut, and Katie has never cut anyone's
hair before. We assure both Rosemary and Katie that no one will
get hurt. Katie did a wonderful job, and in fact had a lot of fun giving
Rosemary her haircut!!

MARY'S MOHAWK- AND HEADSHAVE

The "Normal" Mohawk (an interesting term in itself), is done very
strictly with a sharp stripe of hair down the middle and the rest completely
clipped or shaved off.

THIS MOHAWK is done with clippers over comb, not caring much about
uniform hair length. The resulting look is very cool!!
After the Mohawk, Mary says "take it all off," and we clipper and then
shave her smooth with the Mach III razor.

KRISTEN'S HAIR IS "GONE IN 60 SECONDS"

Kristen is a 20 year old girl who is joining the Navy in June. She's
one of the most voluptuous models we've ever seen.
She wants to shave her head now to enjoy the experience, and then grow
out a three month pixie for induction.

COLD FEET
While we are shooting the before footage, Kristen tells us she's getting
"COLD FEET." We assure her it's ok to chicken out and we wouldn't hold it
against her. After a few minutes, her feet warmed up, and she decided to
go through with the haircut.

Now let's talk about Kristen's hair. It's incredibly thick and healthy,
but has been colored dark brown, with some red and her natural light
brown.
It has taken 5 years to grow, and will probably take 5 years to get
back to this length.
Kristen has- or HAD- so much hair, you won't believe the pile of hair
that gathered on her lap, and then the floor. This was one of the most massive
heads of hair we've ever seen! |

Now let's talk about the haircut. After the "COLD FEET" comments,
there was no way we were going to take Kristen through stages.
This haircut was going to be fast and furious- Gone in 60 Seconds!!
Kristen admitted she was nervous- wouldn't you be?
And then we flipped the switch, the clippers whirred to life. We gave
Kristen one last chance to change her mind, but Kristen said "Cut it off!"
and in seconds, Kristen's long mane was cascading down to her lap after meeting
the clipper's blades. |

For openers, the clippers drove right down the middle. Cold feet
or not, Kristen's mane was coming off!!
Just the first swipe of the clippers took off a huge mound of hair,
now lying in Kristen's lap!
One swipe after another took down Kristen's long hair with scary speed.

When Emily first saw Sarah, she was attracted to her short haircut.
Duh! Who wouldn't be attracted to Sarah? Her short haircut shows off her
beauty! Her new shaved head plowed a new standard for bald beauty!
Sarah cut her hair from waist length to short when she started college,
and has kept it mostly short since then, often doing the cutting herself.
"I like cutting my hair," she says. |

The inspiration for this skit comes from Eric B. Here's the
skit idea: A beautiful woman with long hair comes to the barber shop and
asks for a haircut. The barber gives her a nice chin length haircut with
clippers. When he finishes, he tells the customer, "OK, haircut's
done." She turns to him and says, "Don't Stop." |

The barber simply shrugs his shoulders, and cuts her hair shorter,
this time going short enough to require a lot of clipper over comb work,
especially at the nape of the neck.
He finishes the second haircut, and the customer says, "Don't stop." |
 |
The barber, figuring he'll get a nice tip, puts the number 2 blade
on the clippers and clips off all the hair in back, buzzed almost to the
top of her head, leaving his customer with a super short haircut. |
 |
"All Done," he says.
At this point the customer turns to the barber and says...
Well, you guessed it.
The barber puts the 000 blade on the clipper, runs up the side and over
the back, leaving the hair on top, but the remaining hair is reduced to the
tiniest of stubble. |

"Is that short enough?" the barber asks.
"Take it all off," says the customer.

Out comes the shaving cream and razor, and soon after, the customer
is bald, beautiful and very happy with her new haircut.

Christina's headshave is done in stages. First, she gets a Chili
Bowl haircut with a soft buzzback. Then, we give her a short "boy's" haircut.
Then, we run the clippers right down the middle, and in minutes, Christina
is being lathered and shaved nice and smooth. |

middle. Dub's eyes get wide as she sees the clippers plowing white stripes
across her scalp where her long hair so recently grew.

Summer and Linda are big Cubs fans!! In honor of the start of the
baseball season, we have declared this to be FAN APPRECIATION DAY!! We thank
all the members of our group for all your support, and are looking forward
to a great summer.
Speaking of which, our latest model on the subscription site is named
"SUMMER." No kidding!! She's 22 years old, blonde haired, blue eyed, and
more than a little nervous.
Can you guess how short Summer got her hair cut? |

B. An even shorter inverted bob with a buzzed back?

Yes, the correct answer is D- ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Crunch, crunch go the scissors as nervous Summer watches her long hair
tumble down into her lap.

Moments later, when the clippers roar right down the middle, Summer
cries a river of tears.

With each pass of the clippers, Summer makes more "just ate a lemon"
faces, but emerging is a true bald beauty!! Her big blue eyes become the
dominant feature, and OMG is more beautiful with each swipe of the clippers'
blades.

When it's all over, Summer looks better bald than she did with the
long blonde hair, though we think it's going to take a few days for her to
"really" get used to it.

Linda is a BIG Cubs fan, and truly proved that the family that shaves
together stays together!! Once again, in honor of all the fans who support
our efforts, we are pleased to announce that Linda's third headshave (and

Linda is eager to "get back" to having a shaved head. Her haircut will
be done by our guest barber, Jim, and we think you'll enjoy watching Linda's
haircut a lot. Not only was the haircut a lot of fun, the conversation was

We are pleased and thrilled to report that Zeezee's headshave is

Our Super Bowl Sunday was made more memorable by the LIVE HEADSHAVE
we did . Our 21 year old model, named "ZZ" (no kidding) probably caused more
than a few heart attacks as she took up the scissors and started cutting
off her hair!!
Zeezee likes to be called "Z," but that's my nickname, so I called her
"Zeezee" all day. By the end of the day, I simply called her "BALDIE." |

While the rest of the world was watching President Obama giving
a pre-game interview, the Hair Enthusiast community was watching delightful
Zeezee hoist up the scissors and SHNIKK off her hair without hesitation.
These are truly historic times!!
If you can't read Zeezee's tatoo, it says "We the Fallen," referring
to the name of an album by a rock group she is friends with. Personally,
I think it has deeper meaning, going back to Adam and Eve. |
