Laura decided to shave her head the day before "Buzz the Fuzz."
The only catch was that she had to raise at least $1,000 to participate.
She announced to her fellow officers at the police station that she would
shave her head if they donated the money, and in 7 hours she extracted
$2,000 from her fellow officers' wallets!! Mary is only too happy to help
out, running the clippers like they're stolen!!

Monica Lewinsky was kind enough to show up and shave some heads. Monica

It's hard to describe how much fun everyone had at this massive
head shaving party. There was a lot of good humor, and the cops and the
barberrettes all had a good time together. |

We were surprised at the skill of the barberrettes. Despite doing
headshaves to cueball smoothness in about 5 minutes, very few nicks were
seen. |

All told, this party took hundreds of razors and dozens of cans
of shaving cream as all the officers were shaved smooth. |

This officer had his wife do the honors, and she wasted no time clipping
off her hubby's long hair. |

This officer didn't want his beard shaved, but the stylist thought
differently. She left him with a goatee and shaved the rest, along with his
hippie length hair. |

A SPECIAL BREED
Police Officers are a special breed. They go in harm's way to protect
the rest of us for little pay and sometimes even less gratitude. These wonderful
people raised a lot of money for charity, giving of themselves as they do
each day. We salute all the police officers who dedicate their lives to our
protection, and especially those wonderful cops we met in San Francisco!!
