Back on January 2, 1997 we started HAIRCUT.NET with one page and
one picture- this one.
We had 12 visitors that first day, mostly my old homies on AOL. |

Our first DVD featured this girl having her long hair snipped off
for a TV commercial. |

We decided to bring back some of the great footage from the original
DVD 1 for two reasons- First, because it's good stuff!! And second, because
it's on DVDtape, which will degrade over time, so we wanted to preserve the
footage on a digital master and offer it on DVD.

This girl comes to the salon and makes a motion that says "CHOP
IT OFF."

Snip Snip, Wack Wack and WOW- super gorgeous short haircut. |

This hair show footage features the amazing Yosh snipping off the
hair of four models in about 8 minutes. |

The first model stands nervously as Yosh wields his large scissors
and lops off her long hair in about two minutes flat. |

The second model watches as the first girl has her hair cut- she
knows she's next. |

NEXT!!
The second model stands up, and without hesitation Yosh starts lopping
off over a foot of her gorgeous long hair. |

The third model watches as the second model gets her hair cut, and she's
pretty fidgety and nervous at what she sees, which she knows is about to
happen to her!!
This footage is not in great shape, but it's such dramatic haircutting
that we wanted to include it before it degrades entirely and is lost
forever. |

The fourth model smiles as Yosh calmly cuts off her hair in big
chunks.

ROMAN HOLIDAY
For those of us who grew up in the 60's, it was a rare treat to find
any kind of haircutting material. I remember staying up till 2 am to see
Roman Holiday starring Audrey Hepburn because she got her hair cut in the
movie. |

This was "big stuff" for those of us who grew up in the haircut
starved 60's.
Audrey instructs the stylist to cut it "ALL OFF," meaning a cute little
short haircut.
This was before the days when "ALL OFF" meant shaved as smooth
as a cueball.
Still, it was awfully exciting hearing a woman speak those words. |

of Audrey's hair. Here, she looks shocked at the first sight of her roughly
shorn hair. |

VOILA!! Audrey loves the finished haircut. Very cool early haircut
movie footage. |

SURPRISE MAKEOVER
This gorgeous blonde is pulled out of the audience when asked "who is
ready for a change?"
She comes on stage and the stylist pulls out the scissors!! |

He turns her around, and wacks off her long blonde hair to about
chin length.
