It's like watching a sculptor chipping away at the parts of the rock that aren't in his vision of the final sculpture. He's keeping the hair longer in back for the "SHAG" look. Michael doesn't hesitate for a second, as one long piece after another falls to his scissors. This is the tricky part, blending the shorter front to the longer back.
