Yes, Christina's got her eyes on me as she slides slowly into the
chair.
I've convinced her that we'll just give her the most conservative of
haircuts, just taking off a few inches.
She believes me, right?

I decide to let Christina get comfortable for a minute, and she
calms down.
Take a look in the mirror- you can see the beautiful waviness in Christina's
hair.
Her hair is very thick and shiny. |

It would be a shame if someone came along and CUT IT ALL OFF!! |

When beginning a haircut, it always helps if the model is distracted
in some way- such as scratching her back....

In haircutting, as in so many other things, the GRIP is so
important!!

The results of a POOR GRIP can be catastrophic!!

Before you know it, the model has slipped your grasp and is fighting
off your efforts with newfound Herculean strength.

You struggle to wield your clippers over her beautiful head, but
she has the strength of at least ten men. It's no use!!
We go back to the original plan of just cutting off a few inches. I
don't normally find that too exciting, but it was pretty exciting in Christina's
case. |

I've been typing so much today that my fingers hurt, so I'll stop
typing now and just post some more Christina pics.

BEHIND THE SCENES FOOTAGE AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Welcome to Kansas City!! With a dozen models getting haircuts in
one day, we need to coordinate makeup artists, stylists, models and cameramen.
There's a lot of activity going on today at the salon, and we're going to
try to capture every bit of it on video!! |

We shoot the makeup sessions, and for the first time (and happily
not the last) we meet Christina.
Christina will shock the world six months from now with her decision
to shave her head. |
 |
One wonders what effect it had- watching Andrea have her head shaved,
and Andrea's enthusiastic reaction to it- whether THAT made Christina go
for a headshave of her own.

Alicia was also in the crowd that watched Andrea's headshave. Alicia
would also decide to shave her head- cooincidently on the same day as Christina.
What effect did it have on Alicia to watch Andrea's headshave?

Some of the most exciting footage of Andrea's haircut was shot in
the shampoo bowl, as Mary gives Andrea a beautiful shampoo and head massage.
There's also some comedy in this segment.

Mary takes her time, gently rubbing warm water all over Andrea's
head. She works in the soapy shampoo and massages Andrea's head. Watching
Andrea have her head shampooed is simply incredible!! Very sensuous
footage!!

Now for the funny part- Mary has finished shampooing Andrea and
is TRYING to turn off the water. Instead, she turns it up full blast and
SHPRITZES herself in a move straight out of the Three Stooges!! Very funny
stuff!!
